Marriage Licenses in Iosco County
Both people planning to marry must appear in person at the clerk's office in Tawas City. Both must be at least 18. Bring a valid photo ID, Social Security number, date and place of birth, and your parents' full names and birthplaces. Michigan's 3-day waiting period is required before the license is active. Under MCL 551.103, the license is valid for 33 days from the date it is issued.
Michigan residents pay $20 for the license. Out-of-state applicants pay $30. After the ceremony, the officiant files the completed license with the Iosco County Clerk.
